STEP 35

The hull fully clad in plastic and mounted on it's stand. At this point the full extent of using wooden battens instead of the UNIVERSAL RIB SPACER can be seen along the edges where the hull plates don't meet. Filling the gaps is one option, ignoring them is another.(fig 35)

STEP 36

Although the photo is a bit unfocused the problems caused by the wooden battens are evident. Relying on the wooden battens being a "tight fit" was a massive mistake on my part. As I continue the build the misalignments compound the poor fit of the hull plates. (fig 36)

STEP 37

The plastic covering the mounting hole was cut away with a dremal tool to mount the hull. (fig 37)

STEP 38

Each area to be covered was measured and marked with it's size to simplify the cutting. With luck the overhang will help to hide some of the shocking gaps and mistakes. (fig 38)

STEP 39

The first 2 outer hull plates attached to the hill. Only 10 more to go! (fig 39)
